Williams Picks Up Unlikely Win

TALLADEGA, Alabama   They came out of the woodwork as the SNS headed to Talladega Superspeedway for a rare night of plate racing.  Eleven drivers made this event the best-attended truck race of the year.  Of course, for every action there is a reaction, and the bad side of good turnout reared its ugly head just 9 laps into the event, as Chad Lantz (16) and MJ Lindamood (90) got together entering turn 3.  The ensuing melee took out more than half the field, including all but two of the top six SNS drivers.

Kelley Grabs Second SNS Win

FORT MITCHELL, Kentucky   Hours before claiming his second SNS win of the season, Steve Kelley called it in the forums.  “I plan to be there with my white Alltel Chevy Silverado,” said Kelley, adding jokingly, “[I’ve got] one win with it and a **** near win except for that wreckin fool, Tim!”  He called his shot, and backed it up on the 1.5 mile oval.

Sunday Night Series to take Hiatus

TAMPA, Florida After seeing a steady decline in participation on Sunday nights, the LNR Competition Committee has decided to suspend the Truck Series for two weeks, while meetings continue to determine strategies to increase the number of drivers in attendance in the league’s only “Early-Evening” division.
