I signed up for Vidane to run in the latemodel exlander series there, but then realized i have no setups, no time for setups, and no teammates to get setups from.
So I decided I'd just stick with my PS3. lol

Forgot why I hated iRacing....but now I remember lol (though I don't so much hate it as I am frustrated).
Running my 1st race in 7 months in iRacing, in a latemodel race at Thompson. Started 9th i think it was. Totally on a fresh setup that Id worked on maybe an hour at the most. But, started out hard, as a group of 5 of us were racing like it was the last lap. Honestly, it was stupid to race like that, but hell we were all racing clean and just having a complete blast doing it, so we kept it up.
Eventually after about 8 laps of ducking and diving and dodging, we settled in to a nice long run, the 5 of us in a row. I was 7th I think when it all shook out.
About 20 laps in, my car is just starting to really hook up, after starting out tight. The car would just drive off the corners like a rocket. I was running .1 to .2 faster than anyone in the top 10 except the leader (he was running even with me), and I started knockin off guys with ease.
I get up to 4th on lap 36, running right behind 2nd and 3rd as they're door to door. Just biding my time.
Then.....some lapper spins off 2, and stops parked across the middle of the track by turn 3.
He has maybe 3 seconds to exit out of the car or move. He just sits there. And 2nd/3rd don't move, they just plow into him. I slam the brakes to miss, but one of the guys who is at this point flipping, lands on top of my car, killing my motor.
I am forced to retire now, and get 10th. When I really could have easilly had a 3rd or 4th at the worst.
I'm so angry.....I can't stand it when idiots ruin such a good race....And the worst part is, the other 12 guys in the race were so fun to run with. THey were fast, they were clean....but that one bad apple just killed the whole experience for me.

Gotta just let the bad races go Greg. In the open races, all I'm doing is trying to get better at driving and getting the best finish I can. Whatever happens, happens.

I really need to get into a league for this or somethin, because the open races kill me.

eff this.
I have yet to get 30 laps in a race before im wrecked.
I've raced with tons of u here and u know its rare that i cause a wreck. And when I do 99 times out of 100 i admit it, so you should know I aint full of crud. I mean seriously, are these people retarded?
Two times today I would get a run on a guy, and move low. I'd literally give him a full car widths room between us down the stretch. Yet, both times, they turn into me ON A STRAIGHT AWAY, and take me out.
I'm just absolutely fed up. What a waste of my money. Thats I think 4 races now where I've been a top 3 car, and yet I can't finish 30 yet alone 50 laps because of these fudging idiots.

This was my favorite iRacing moment... in tutorial video form. Backstory: I was running second, closing on the leader, it was going to be a heckuva last lap. All I needed was a clean race to be in line for my promotion out of rookie Solstice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsiJhlnn_ac

That's why I stay out of the official races and only race in hosted/league races. I've been a Class B for about a year and will probably be a Class B for the rest of time. It doesn't mean a thing in hosted racing.
